American Legion Oro Valley (Ariz.) Post 132 has been conducting targeted member Buddy Checks for years, with the emphasis on WWII and Korean War-era members. Beginning in 2020, the calls were expanded to include all 450+ members. This year members of the post's leadership team are again calling all 487 members. It is a great opportunity to thank the members for their service and to let them know that there is help available if needed. A secondary benefit to the post is that it allows us to update our member data records, which are used for communicating with the members and for recognizing milestones in their lives.
