GI Bill funded my education

Bothell, WA

The GI Bill fully funded my college education. I was discharged from the Marine Corps in 1946. I had survived the battle for Iwo Jima and didn’t have a clue as to what I would do in the future. I met the superintendent of schools, who aided me in getting help from the GI Bill for my education. The GI Bill fully funded me for 4 straight years of college. I didn’t have a red cent, so the GI Bill gave me a stipend to pay expenses. Because of the GI Bill, I was able to get a good job in education. I taught school for 31 years. For me, it wasn’t easy, but thank heavens for all the GI Bill did for me.
