During the American Legion Department of Louisiana Convention held in Alexandria June 2-5, American Legion Department Commander Richard Bell (left) and National Security Commission Chairman Johnny Square (right) recognized Jacob Primeaux of the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office as the department’s Law Enforcement Officer of the Year. Primeaux was nominated for the award by Acadia Post 15 in Crowley. Primeaux was not able to attend the convention, so Post 15 Commander Wayne Dommert (center) accepted the award on Primeaux’s behalf.
