On May 30, 2022, Wilbur M. Ruby Post 204, Sellersburg, Ind., had a Memorial Day Observance Ceremony at Wilkerson Park in Sellersburg. Post Chaplain John Spurgeon gave an opening prayer, followed by the national anthem sung by local vocalist Willis Tucker. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Boy Scout Troops 6 and 7 of Sellersburg. The guest speaker was Brig. Gen. James P. Sanders, commander, 352nd CACOM, United States Army.

Before closing, Commander Linda Duncan acknowledged the fallen men who are memorialized on the monuments that stand in the park: WWI, WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War and global war on terrorism.
After taps and the benediction, the many people who took part or came to pay respects returned to the Legion for a complimentary lunch provided by the Auxiliary.
