On Saturday, Jan. 24, members of the American Legion Riders, Auxiliary, SAL, and post members of Frank Wendland Post 253, Royal Oak, Mich., helped staff members at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Mich., remove the more than 11,000 wreaths that were placed on veterans' graves on Dec. 13, 2014, through the Wreaths Across America program. Government regulations dictate that all decorations be removed by the end of the week beginning Jan. 21.
