Holy Redeemer flag duty

Marshall, MN

As a sales rep for a Catholic-based life insurance company, Catholic United Financial, I often get to speak at and interact with students at Catholic schools. Yesterday when going to Holy Redeemer School in Marshall, Minn., just after the final bell, I observed two middle school-aged boys taking down Old Glory. What caught my eye was the respect they showed. Being on the Marshall Post 113 Honor Guard, I was aware that they were folding the flag as is done at funerals. They had it down fairly well, but needed just a little help to get the tag end folded into the tri-corner. I commented to them about how much I appreciated the respect they showed.
