Following a flag disposal ceremony conducted by the students at the American Heritage Academy in Cottonwood, Ariz., are: (front row) 6th grade students who inspected the unserviceable flag prior to its disposal; assisting them from the Post 135 Honor Guard in Cornville are: (l-r) District 8 Cmdr. Ken Johnson; Jim Strande; Post Cmdr. Jeri Strande; HG Capt. John Maddox; and Charles Tyrrell. This is the second consecutive year that the post has participated by supervising the flag disposal and providing a bugle/rifle salute. Honoring the flag in their "We the Kids" is an annual program to teach the students respect and appreciation to our great country!
