Since today was Flag Day, we held a flag retirement ceremony at our soon-to-be new post HQ. We intended to dispose of several dozen flags that have been turned over to us, but due to high winds we decided against that in an abundance of safety.
Quite a few members of the Elks Lodge attended, and one member who was also a member of another American Legion Post said, "I've been in the American Legion for 19 years, and I've never seen this ceremony done."
