The flag of our country brings home to me the courage, heroism, dedication and sacrifice made by every person who served in uniform. When I see the American flag, whether on parade or flying daily from my flagpole, I feel a rush of pride, along with the goosebumps and, sometimes, tears.
To those who desecrate Old Glory, I want to point out the willingness of so many patriots to die to protect that right.
