American Legion Riders of Post 998 host All Veteran Chili Cook-Off Championship

Harrisburg, PA

The American Legion Riders Post 998, Lawnton Pa., hosted its inaugural All Veteran Chili Cook-Off Championship in April. Turnout was magnificent, several Sons posts participated, over $6,500 was raised, hundreds of pounds of clothing was donated to the Purple Heart, everyone had a blast, and the Sons of the American Legion Post 998 team, "Sons of Chili," was awarded the coveted "Peoples Champion Riders Cup."
15 teams competed and "Sons of Chili" was the overwhelming winner. Congratulations to the "Sons of Chili" and all the teams who contributed to this worthy cause benefiting VeteransCause.com and DogTagsProgram.org. Both volunteer organizations provide services to PTSD-affected veterans free of charge.
