100 Miles For Hope

Uncasville, CT

The American Legion’s success depends entirely on active membership, participation and volunteerism. The
American Legion belongs to the people it serves and the communities in which it thrives.

Yesterday, Aug 17, 2020, I walked 7.2 miles. Today Aug 18, 2020, I walked 11 miles in support of The American Legion's 100 Miles For Hope campaign, which was brought about to bring attention and help to the Legion's Veterans & Children Foundation. Today, I visited American Legion Post 112, Montville, Conn. I am a past American Legion 5th District vice commander, and a past post commander (American Legion Post 9, New London, Conn).

I'm trying to walk 100 miles for each of the 5th District's 17 posts. I'm 42.2 miles in on my second 100 miles. YUUUUUUUUUT.

If you wish to participate, go to www.legion.org/100Miles.

There is a registration fee of $30, half of which goes to a "100 Miles For Hope" T-shirt with the balance going
to the cause. Please join the 100 Miles For Hope mission, or you can donate to help The American Legion at the
