In addition to Department Historian Jerome Goolsby, Department Commander Rose Noonan also attended. In closing comments at the event Noonan received a donation from Post 558 for the 2022-2023 Commander’s Project, Operation Comfort Warriors.
The American Legion's Operation Comfort Warriors (OCW) program was created to provide "non-essentials" - items that help wounded warriors' recovery, but don't usually show up as a budget line on government spreadsheets.

Despite the projected snowfall, a wide range of Missouri Legionaries were able to attend the dinner.
