Malta Bend, MO

Malta Bend Memorial Post 558 hosted their annual fish fry at their meeting hall on Monday, Nov. 14. In addition to those from Post 558, members from Zone 2, 7th District, Concordia and Slater posts, along with Department of Missouri officers attended. In addition to Department Historian Jerome Goolsby, Department Commander Rose Noonan also attended. In closing comments at the event Noonan received a donation from Post 558 for the 2022-2023 Commander’s Project, Operation Comfort Warriors.
The American Legion's Operation Comfort Warriors (OCW) program was created to provide "non-essentials" - items that help wounded warriors' recovery, but don't usually show up as a budget line on government spreadsheets.

Despite the projected snowfall, a wide range of Missouri Legionaries were able to attend the dinner.
