I would like to applaud U.S. Marine "Andy" Garabedian, who is helping the homeless. Garabedian himself was homeless after he left the Marines, and is now an ER nurse at a Long Island hospital in New York. He saw the virus take its toll on the homeless veterans living on the streets. So Garabedian started a charity called Aggregate Hearts, and has handed out more than 1,000 meals across the five boroughs and Nassau County. I myself praise a fellow veteran for helping the homeless. I was homeless myself after my discharge from the U.S. Navy in 1975. I too was helped by the kindness of a stranger who helped me get on my feet. As a member of the American Legion Post 103 in Douglaston, I truly appreciate his good works helping the homeless veterans. I am also Grand Knight of St. Anastasia Knights of Columbus in Douglaston and have provided funds for soup kitchens and food pantries, which have also helped homeless veterans with a meal. Again to praise Garabedian for stepping up and helping our homeless veterans. Kudos for a job well done.

Sincerely Yours,
Frederick R. Bedell Jr.
