My favorite nurse

My favorite nurse is my dear wife, Victoria Pablo Lowe. She was the daughter of a Philippine Scout who survived the Bataan Death March and went on to serve 30 years in the U.S. Army. She had four brothers who served in the USAF and one who served in the Army Reserve. Victoria served as an Air Force nurse from 1970-71 before she married an Army officer. She later became an Air Force mom when their daughter served 15 years as an Air Force navigator. Victoria returned to college and earned her BSN degree before serving our community as a nurse for many years after. When they laid her to rest two years ago at the Rock Island National Cemetery, Victoria more than earned the flag which draped her casket.

Richard A Lowe, LTC, U.S. Army, Ret.
