On March 25, 2023, an exciting and fitting ceremony was held at the Blaire House of Milford, Mass., assisted living facility. A Veterans Wall of Honor was dedicated, as a living memorial for all veterans but especially for those veterans who called Blaire House their home, current residents and those who have passed on. The wall will be updated and maintained to include all new veteran residents as well. The Wall of Honor is a special place to honor and memorialize veterans who served our country both in wartime and peacetime. The wall was made possible by the efforts of the Milford Veterans Advisory council and Sgt. John W. Powers American Legion Auxiliary Unit 59. The Auxiliary was responsible for the funding of the wall, which was designed and built by the Advisory Council. Following the ceremony, refreshments were served and attendees were able to socialize and visit with residing veterans.
