My grandfather, Ed Johann, wanted to submit some thoughts for the Legion's Rally Around the Flag. Ed is a Pearl Harbor survivor coming up on 100 years young July 11.

“In spite of the damage, the ships’ American flags continued to soar.
It gave me a comforted feeling to see the flag in all of this attack.”
