One Legion post donates to another

Minnewaukan, ND

Gunnerud-Dietrich American Legion Post 86 of Minnewaukan, N.D., received a $10,000 gift from the New Salem (N.D.) American Legion Post 91 gaming fund. The money comes from gambling machines Post 91 installed in the cafe owned by Jody and Duane Saari in Halliday, N.D. The Saaris are part-time residents of Minnewaukan. The funds will be used to put a new rubber roof on the Post 86 building in Minnewaukan and install a handicapped-accessible chair lift in the building.
