American Legion Post 171 held its membership meeting Dec. 2, 2015, with special guest speaker Westerville Canine Officer Brian Schwartz and his Belgian Malinois partner, Fiji. Schwartz is a new Westerville officer and is making a huge dent in the battle against drugs. What makes Fiji unique is that she is the first female narcotics canine officer. Schwartz said he and Fiji welcome the challenge of being on call 24/7. The members of the Westerville American Legion Post 171 learned a great deal from Schwartz and Fiji .... Fiji enjoyed sharing "bow wow."
