Memorial Day ceremony

Cabot, AR

Criswell-Robinson Post 71 held their annual Memorial Day ceremony on May 29, 2017. Our ceremony was dedicated in the memory of two of Post 71's members, Gerald "Skip" Hill and Larry Lebel. We are a close post and their loss left a huge hole in our hearts. We had several local dignitaries participate such as the Mayor of Ward, Art Brooke, Lonoke Co. Judge Doug Erwin, and Lonoke Co. VSO Sam High. This was one of the largest turnouts we have had for this event. Post 71 member and service officer Allen Miller was our emcee and did an outstanding job. Bonnie Kernan, Auxiliary Unit 71 president, read a speech about National Poppy Day and what the poppy represents. We are so thankful for all the support we receive from not only our post members, but the surrounding communities as well.
