As part of our mission to support children and youth, American Legion Post 3 and American Legion Riders Chapter 3, in Lincoln, Neb., stepped up to help some families during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Post 3 and the Riders paid off the outstanding lunch account balances of students at Pyrtle Elementary School who had fallen behind in paying for their lunches. This will allow these students to start the next school year with a zero balance.
The total number of students affected by our donation is not known at this time, but nearly $600 was provided by Post 3 and the American Legion Riders. At some point in the future, a photo will be taken and shared with our members. Thank you to the Legion Riders and Post 3 in this effort.
