The Sons of the American Legion from Wicks-Staley Post 231 in Clayville, N.Y., held a chicken barbecue on June 13, 2020, with profits destined for the local Feed Our Vets food pantry. With the support of the post's Ladies Auxiliary and American Legion, a total of $1,125.00 was raised and presented to retired U.S. Army food pantry director Joseph Ancona on June 17, 2020, by Post 231 SAL commander Charles Crowe, Jr. whose idea it was to hold the barbecue in the first place.
