Sept. 11 20th-anniversary memorial

Las Vegas, NV

It was an honor to participate in the 20th-anniversary 9/11 memorial, hosted by the Las Vegas 10-13 Club. Our commander, Bob Bencsko, opened the ceremony, which included members of Scouts BSA Troop 149 presenting the colors, along with Cub Scouts Pack 149 in attendance.

Mayor Caroline Goodman, along with City Council members Stavros Anthony, Victoria Seaman, Michele Fiore and Cedric Crear, and Sheriff Lombardo offered some words of remembrance, as did our post adjutant Vic Moss. Afterwards, a memorial tree, nurtured from a tree that survived the collapse of the World Trade Center, was planted in the park. A big thanks to John Mull's Road Kill Grill - John Mull's Meats for supplying an amazing BBQ lunch for everyone.

More pics can be seen at https://photos.app.goo.gl/UmbP1B3aWemHjthx9. Thanks to Channel 8 news, a video of the speeches, including Moss at the 10:30 mark, can bee seen at https://www.8newsnow.com/video/remembrance-event-at-police-memorial-park....
