Celebrate by serving

Milwaukee, WI

Members of Harley-Davidson Post 400 of The American Legion celebrated the Marine Corps' 247th birthday and Veterans Day by serving dinner to the families staying at the Milwaukee VA Fisher House.
Families of hospitalized servicemembers and veterans are able to stay at a Fisher House for free so they can be close to their loved ones, because “A Families Love Is Good Medicine.” Members of Post 400 cook and serve meals at the Fisher House on a quarterly basis. Post Commander Curtiss Peck states that this is just one service activity that encourages and motivates our members to be engaged in the Legion. Our members are committed to Honoring the Dead by Serving the Living. There are plenty of opportunities for all Legionnaires to Celebrate by Serving families at any of the 93 Fisher Houses around the country. Visit www.fisherhouse.org for the Fisher House closest to you.
