I'm Luke Basso, a high school senior who recently relocated from New York to North Carolina. I manage a YouTube channel called Filmperia, where I conduct interviews with veterans make sure that their stories are not forgotten. On my channel, you can discover over 50 interviews and two mini-documentaries. I've conducted both in-person and Zoom interviews since I started this in 2021. Every week, I strive to release one video. My main focus is on WWII and Korean War veterans because there are so few of them left.

In May of this year, when I was still living in New York, I was invited as a guest on the Honor Flight to Washington, D.C., in recognition of my work with veterans. Mountain Lake PBS also created a video about my channel and my Honor Flight experience.

Preserving their stories is vital for our society, given everything they've done for our country and our allies.
