Nearly 50 riders participated June 29 in the 2nd Annual Remember the Heroes Poker Run beginning at Middlesex County (Va.) Courthouse and riding throughout Middlesex and Gloucester counties and returning to the Bristow-Newman-Puller Post 82 for lunch and prizes.

The poker run is a memorial ride for the past and present heroes of the two counties including Medal of Honor recipient Beryl R. Newman, famed Marine Lt. Gen. Chesty Puller and Walter Reed.

All the $11,000 proceedings from the poker run will be submitted to Operation Comfort Warriors, along with other previously donated OCW funds. We anticipate a total of $15,000 after the final OCW support ride to Sturgis.
