On Memorial Day, May 29, 2023, Post Commander Steve Tharp and Chaplain Tim Lane from Col. Lewis L. Millet Post 38, South Korea, went to the Yangwajin Foreigners Cemetery in Seoul to pay homage to 27 American veterans buried at the cemetery. After the opening remarks and a prayer, the Legionnaires along with ROK COL (ret.) Jee Hongki, Korean Veterans’ Association (KVA) placed a U.S. flag on each of the 27 gravesites known to be American veterans at the cemetery. A salute and bow were made to each grave. The visit ended with closing remarks by Tharp and a final prayer by Lane.
