Fisher House donation

Gainesville, FL

A group of five Florida Squadron 347 officers and five guests visited the Gainesville Fisher House on Wednesday, Dec. 14, to deliver a check for $7,000 + a large supply of toothbrushes and personal toiletries for use by family members staying there while their veteran is a patient in the adjacent VA hospital. The money included $3,000 budgeted, plus proceeds from the Fall Harvest Dance and generous donations by members and local businesses.
In addition, 75 wrapped Christmas presents for VA hospital patients were left at the Fisher House (COVID restrictions prevented us from delivering directly to patients).
The attached photo of the check presentation shows:
Rick Fabiani, president of the Gainesville Fisher house Foundation; David Callies, squadron member at large; John Gorsuch, past commander and 6th District commander; Bill Grieco, squadron finance officer; Danny Roe, squadron first vice; Bob O'Neal, squadron commander; Kimo Ortiz, assistant manager, Fisher House; Clay Perdue, manager, Fisher House.
