COVID-19 didn't stop Detachment of New Hampshire's Alt NEC, John Cook, from recently honoring a Vietnam Veteran by installing a new flagpole at a local family owned restaurant in Albany, NH. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Almost There Restaurant used their Stay at Home Order down time to do some major renovations to their restaurant. After the renovations were completed, Alt NEC Cook noticed their flagpole was looking tired and old so as his Community Service project he volunteered to install their new flagpole in honor of a restaurant family member who is a Vietnam Veteran. Alt NEC Cook said of his longtime friend and Vietnam Veteran, "It was an honor to do something for someone who gave so much to his country.".
