Legionnaires of American Legion Post 110 of Virginia Beach, VA along with members of the 2nd District, Virginia Department in cooperation with the Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH) Senior Care Center and its staff and residents celebrated Flag Day on June 14, 2012. Due to inclimate weather the Flag Ceremony was held inside and the flags collected will be disposed of properly in the near future. In the photo is Thomas East (center), a World War II Veteran, who fought in Europe with the U.S. Army under the command of General George Patton. He recalled some of his personal experiences to Kelly Kennedy (left), a member of the Flag Detail, and Doug Uhlmann (right), Service Officer for Virginia Beach Post 110.
