Post 5 USS Tampa celebrated a very special birthday on Sunday, December 16th during the annual Christmas party: Bill Monfort, is now a young 96 years old! Bill "Red" Monfort was a USN Chief Radioman serving aboard the USS Claxton during her entire WWII career, and he survived 2 Kamikaze attacks. Bill takes no medications, is in awesome shape, is "sharp as a tack", and he attends all meetings and functions. If you ask him what his secret is, he will tell you "you have to ask my two older sisters!"
