SAN ANTONIO - (Feb. 9, 2023) - The leadership of Fred Brock American Legion Post 828 and Audie L. Murphy American Legion Post 336 attended the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony of Flagship Health at its main clinic located on the city’s West Side.

For senior veterans and their spouses who are Medicare-eligible, the veteran-centric clinic staff offers personalized primary care to address the full range of physical, social, mental and financial needs of veteran families.

“It is an honor, a joy and a privilege to see everyone here,” said Flagship Health CEO Sunny Ramchandani. “We are here to serve veterans and their families.”

According to Ramchandani, a 28-year veteran of the U.S. Navy, he joined the military because of The American Legion.

“The American Legion took me in when I was 17 years old in a high school oratorical competition, and I learn a lot from the Veterans of Foreign Wars,” said Ramchandani. “Every single person who joins the military has a story, a story on why they join, a story on why they’re here, a story about their friends and the people they care the most. This is our community, and we want everyone to participate in it; we even have one of the American Legion posts meet in our facility.”

During the ceremony, Bexar County Clerk Lucy Adame-Clark spoke and presented challenge coins to Ramchandani and Flagship Health Vice President of Marketing EJ Rickey.

Attending was District 6 Councilwoman Melissa Cabello Havrda, Ret. U.S. Marine Maj. Gen. Juan Ayala, director of the City of San Antonio’s Military & Veterans Department, CEO Jon Allman of Endeavors, members of the city’s Veterans Advisory Commission and many other veterans service organizations.
