On Aug. 19, John J. Morris Post 62 did its third event with Borderlands Produce on Wheels With-Out Waste. We had 35 volunteers from all families of the post provide 35,000 pounds of fruit and vegetables to 375 families in our community, which totals over 40,000 meals. We are not scheduled again until December because most food is going out of season for our area. It has been an honor to help address food insecurity with our Veterans Strengthening America.
