Bringing Christmas joy to our comrades

Winslow Township, NJ

Vet Haven South is a transitional housing facility operated by the New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs located in Camden County. The Veterans Transitional Housing program aims to meet this challenge on the streets, in the shelters and on the front lines of human existence, where our brothers and sisters find themselves in their greatest need. The facility provides an opportunity for homeless veterans to get back on their feet and transition back as productive citizens.
Today the Camden County American Legion Family, led by Past Auxiliary Department President Jane Babli, provided a hot Christmas meal for our comrades at Vet Haven South. Ham, turkey, venison and multiple sides topped off with many sweets put a smile on their faces. Thank you to Department Commander Steve Fisher and his lovely wife Geri for your support. SAL ANEC Henry Hasselhan and is son Henry did a great job on the serving line. PDC Yabba-Dabba-Doo Mike Babli passed out gift card to all the residents. Thanks to Mary Pat Grimming and Bernie Kofoet for your help. The veterans were very appreciative of everything that was done for them today. Thank you to everyone who contributed to make today a Merry Christmas for our veterans.
