Future homeless veteran shelter ribbon-cutting.

Help for the homeless as Post 45 springs into action

Canton, GA

With the aid of community partners and numerous fundraising events, Post 45 purchased property to shelter up to 39 veterans in need, reintegrating them into a functional, productive life. The Cherokee Homeless Veterans Program will assist each individual in addressing their specific needs - mental, disabilities, medical, educational and personal - over nine months.

The property in Canton will require a total renovation. The workforce will be all volunteer veterans, with projected completion in the spring of 2025. We will keep you updated on our progress.
