Supporting and assisting our local veterans through the Veteran Smiles program

Leland, NC

When you support your local John E. Jacobs American Legion Post 68, you are assisting local veterans. On Aug. 25, Post 68 of Leland, N.C., donated $500 to the Veteran Smiles program. In addition, American Legion Post 543 of St. James, N.C., donated $1,500.

The Veteran Smiles program at ECU School of Dentistry provides at-risk veterans with a full line of dental treatment at low or no cost. The service is generously provided by the school. The Leland Post 68 donation will be applied to the Brunswick School of Dentistry here in Brunswick County in Supply, N.C.

Veteran Smiles, along with the director of dentistry and the staff in the ECU School of Dentistry, expressed their appreciation for Post 68’s involvement in helping the veterans keep and maintain healthy teeth.
