John J. Morris Post 62 Provides Thanksgiving Dinner to 100 Veterans

Peoria, AZ

On Thanksgiving, John J. Morris Post 62 in Peoria, Arizona provided Thanksgiving dinner to 100 veterans and their families. The post cooked the turkeys and hams while the rest of the food was a potluck. The desserts were amazing, according to everyone. The post hosted a raffle of a couple items which raised over $400 over the past week, which was then donated to our riders for their Christmas toy drive! The meal was preceded by an opening prayer. A touching sight to see was when people watching the football game on television stood for the National Anthem. It was a wonderful time for everyone attending.
