New York Sons of the American Legion Squadron 1682 donates to local Marine Corps League

New City, NY

Sons of the American Legion Squadron 1682, based in New City, NY, recognized the efforts of the Marine Corps League of Rockland County with a $3,000 donation at their monthly membership meeting on March 11.

Not only does the Marine Corps League spearhead the annual Toys for Tots drive every holiday season, but they also run Rockland County’s MASH unit. Throughout the year, they collect and distribute services and equipment for veterans in need, such as canes, crutches, bath chairs, oxygen generators, wheelchairs, ramp systems, transportation for veterans to go to doctors' appointments, and any other service for a veteran in need.

The Squadron has raised almost $25,000 in the 7 years they’ve hosted their annual Clam Bake fundraiser and have donated $17,000 of that to organizations within Rockland County that directly impacts and supports the community’s veterans.
