Pottsville Lions support homeless vets program

Frackville, PA

The Pottsville Lions Club, with some 20 percent of its members who are veterans, have for the second year continued its support, both morally and financially, for the local Homeless Veterans Program within the greater Schuylkill County region of eastern Pennsylvania. The Homeless Vets program is in its second year and operated out of Berks County with its headquarters in Reading. Several members of the local Lions also support a free breakfast for vets on D-Day and Pearl Harbor Day (at a restaurant in Frackville), to not only show our support for our vets but remember those paid the ultimate price for our freedom! The past two events witnessed 50 veterans and the last one more than 75 veterans served, and all from throughout the County, and we expect it to continue growing in popularity with the hopes that other communities will follow suit!
The upcoming D-Day Breakfast will be in April.
