Veterans attend the National WWII Land, Sea, and Air Expo

Houma , LA

Houma, La. On Friday, Oct. 27, 2017, the National WWII Museum, Peoples Health, the Terrebonne Council on Aging and Lenox Hotard American Legion Post 31 of Houma, La., attended the National WWII Land, Sea and Air Exposition in New Orleans. Post 31 gave 14 veterans and their guests a send-off early that morning. People's Health provided them with free transportation to-and-from the festival as well as a nice lunch. The veterans were provided with an opportunity to talk with flight crew and personnel of the vehicles and were able to get a behind-the-scenes view of the aircraft, ships and vehicles from our military past. There were veterans from WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom who participated from around Houma.

Our group of veterans and their guests from Houma headed for New Orleans.
