Presenting colors at the World Series

First All Female Veteran Color Guard

CHERRYVILLE, NC

Members of American Legion Post 30 in Lincolnton NC has led parades in Lincolnton for many years. Recently we have put together our first all female veteran color guard. The first parade they participated in was the Fourth for July parade in Lincolnton, Then they presented colors at the American Legion World Series in Shelby NC on August 12th. Not only do they participate in color guards, but they also help with local military funerals as part of the honor guard.
We feel like this is a great opportunity to show other female veterans that can join the Legion and really be involved in the activities that have been traditionally been male veterans. We are very proud of them.
