Walk for a healthy life

My wife Debbie and I walk an average of 3 miles a day; we are retired. We walk to stay healthy, but now we have another reason to walk, Walking for a cause makes it easier to walk. and what better cause than to help the Veterans & Children Foundation?

We belong to three walking clubs, mostly to socialize with others as we walk, Walking with others or for a cause motivates us. more so than just walking ourselves. Most veterans realize it is easier to hike with others from our boot camp days or group marches.

I'm sure many of you can agree and have memories of those long hikes while serving in the military, especially those of us who are Marines. Walking with others makes the time go faster and the pain less felt. Also, people who walk live more healthy lives. as many of you know.
