My fondest boot camp memory is when I made the transition from civilian to the military mindset. While going through graduation drill, it was announced to the visitors not to step onto the drill floor, so we could complete our program. Several visitors disobeyed to take better photographs. I thought, "Can't these people follow simple instructions?"

At that point, I knew that I had retired my civilian mindset.
