Life is better with you in it.

From Cocaine to Tanks to being a Christian

Clinton, MS

I had a good childhood up to 12 years old; typical story of parents fighting, etc. I took my first drug at 12 years old, and I had an intentional overdose of pills at 14 that left me in a 3-day coma. At the age of 20, I quit cocaine and after I got clean, I joined the Army as a M1A1 Tank driver, and I loved it. Unfortunately, due to a severe back injury, I got out in 2001 and was still searching for that missing piece. I also became a bad alcoholic until 2007. On January 16, 2008, I found what I was looking for when I asked Jesus to be my Lord and Savior. Do I still have PTSD and depression episodes? Yes, absolutely. But with Jesus, I have made it through. Everyone is welcome to reach out to me if you need help.
