During the 2024 Roots N Boots rodeo at Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Centre in Queen Creek, Arizona, the Duane Ellsworth Post 129 color guard presented colors at the park Flag Raising event on Saturday, March 16. On Sunday, March 17, they presented the colors as part of the rodeo pre-show. Participants were American Legion members Brent Doyle, Imre Kertesz, Huxley Madeheim and Charles Ridgeway. They did such an awesome job that the rodeo asked them to participate in all five shows next year! The Roots N Boots event is a week-long event with several rodeos, a festival, carnival and all kinds of family-friendly events throughout the week.
