American Legion Braxton-Perkins Post 25, with the City of Newport News, held the 2023 Memorial Day ceremony at Newport News Victory Arch on Monday, May 29.

VFW Department of Virginia Junior Vice Commander Mitchell Rubenstein was the keynote speaker.

Menchville High School Air Force JROTC posted the colors and laid the wreaths.

Southeastern Virginia Firefighters Pipes and Drums played "Amazing Grace."

Quintet from TRADOC Band at Fort Eustis performed musical selections.

Newport News Mayor Phillip Jones and three city councilors were in attendance.
