Placing U.S. flags at veterans' graves Memorial Day weekend

American Legion Braxton-Perkins Post 25 - Newport News , VA

American Legion Braxton-Perkins Post 25 in Newport News, Va., and other groups placed U.S. flags on Saturday, May 27, at Peninsula Memorial Park, Greenlawn and Pleasant Shade cemeteries.

Air Force Sergeants Association (AFSA Chapter 358 "Raptor Chapter") out of Langley Air Force Base, Newport News Shipyard civilian employees, members from Fort Eustis and members of the community came out and helped out in placing U.S. flags at veterans' graves at the three local cemeteries. Folks made sure to honor the servicemembers who gave the ultimate sacrifice remembrance and honor by placing a flag near their headstones.
