Braman Post 1229 (Penfield, N.Y.) honors local war dead

Braman Post 1229 - Penfield, NY

An honor guard comprising members of Braman Post 1229 visited the four burial grounds in Penfield plus the town's veterans memorial to place a memorial wreath and perform a brief ceremony comprised of a short oration, a prayer, and the sounding of taps.
The post members were accompanied on their circuit of the sites by Penfield town supervisor Tony LaFountain.
This was the first time the post had such an event, but we plan to make it an annual tradition. This ceremony was planned by the post after the town's annual Memorial Day Ceremony of Remembrance was canceled due to the pandemic.
