American Legion Post 230, Hawthorne, Fla., was honored at its Christmas Party to have as its guest Medal of Honor award winner Cpl. Dwayne Dewey.

Marine Cpl. Dewey was awarded the Medal of Honor for actions during the Korean War. Wounded and being cared for by a corpsman as a grenade was thrown into the area, Dewey pushed the corpsman and fellow Marines out of the way and sat upon the grenade, thus saving their lives.
