USS CONCORD AFS-5

Concord

Pittston, PA

"The last shot of World War II."

I was stationed on the mighty Concord from 1985-1989, as a storekeeper. This was the fifth ship to bear the Concord name. It was a combat stores ship (Mars class), AFS-5.
Commissioned in 1968, it was stationed out of Norfolk, Va. It was a great ship and a great group of sailors. I really enjoyed serving on board.

JEFF DOLNEY, PITTSTON, PA; POST 107, IN
CRYSTAL, N.D.
