On Sept. 19, 2022, American Legion Squaw Valley Post 621 donated to the Fresno Veterans Home.
The Squaw Valley post has been a regular supporter of the home for many years; this year they reached out and asked, what can we do for you?
Whitney Fisher, volunteer and donation coordinator, said we could sure use a new generator for the veterans movie night. She added that it would be helpful to have a 60-inch charcoal BBQ for the picnics out on the patio.
After some discussion Post 621 voted to donate both items to the home.
Commander Cheryl Brunkhorst, 2nd Vice Commander Paul Brunkhorst, Adjutant Denise Couch, Chaplain Joe Maxwell, Finance Officer Star Myers and past commander Frank Blankenship delivered the items to the home.
Everyone was extremely happy with the donations.
